Anyang Pavilion, a gift from a world-renowned architectural master

Anyang Pavilion is a building of formative arts designed by Alvaro Siza, a Portuguese-born world-class architect who is considered the last master of modernism architecture in the 20th century. The Pavilion is the first one designed by him in Asia.

This architectural figure, which strikes a balance with the nature, was designed and constructed by Anyang Provincial Government as part of the Anyang Public Art Project (APAP) in 2005, along with over 90 sculptures designed by renowned artists at home and abroad.

Anyang Pavilion was designed as a poetic space with a unique spatial structure and geometric shape that differs from all directions.
